─ VETERANS COUNSELING ORLANDO, FL

Private Therapy
for Veterans.
No Waitlist.

Without the bureaucracy, the rotating providers,
or the surface-level coping skills.

You've handled pressure that most people can't imagine. What you may not have had — in the military or out of it — is a place to slow down, speak plainly, and actually work through what's accumulated.

This is focused, one-on-one therapy for veterans in the Orlando area — from a fellow veteran who already understands the culture.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Therapy for Veterans Who Want More Than Coping Skills

You've already proven you can push through. The question now isn't survival — it's why civilian life still feels like you're running a mission no one briefed you on.

Most veterans who reach out aren't in crisis. They're functioning — working, showing up, keeping it together. But something isn't sitting right.

Private therapy for veterans in Orlando isn't about crisis management. It's about doing the deeper work that the VA's months-long waitlist and rushed appointments were never designed to support.

COMMON REASONS VETERANS REACH OUT

  • Anger that's closer to the surface than it should be

  • Hypervigilance that never fully shut off after service

  • Drinking or using more than you intended

  • Emotional distance from people you care about

  • A sense that civilian life feels flat, pointless, or foreign

  • Moral conflict that didn't resolve when the deployment ended

  • Restlessness, irritability, or difficulty slowing down

You don't need a diagnosis to know something feels off.

WHY PRIVATE THERAPY

Why Veterans Choose Private Therapy Over the VA

The VA provides real services — this isn't a knock on that. But the tradeoffs are real.

VA therapy wait times in Orlando regularly run months. When you do get in, you may see a different provider each time. The approach is often protocol-driven — designed for average presentations, not yours.

If you've been putting this off because the VA felt like too much friction, private therapy for veterans in Orlando is exactly what this is an alternative to.

NO WAITLIST

You can typically start within a week or two — not six months from now when the momentum is gone.

──────────────────────

COMPLETE CONTINUITY

Same therapist, every week. The work compounds over time because we're not starting over each session.

──────────────────────

DEPTH OVER PROTOCOL

Instead of a structured manual, we follow what's actually happening: your specific patterns, history, and pressures.

──────────────────────

FULL PRIVACY

Sessions are completely separate from your military record, VA benefits, and any legal documentation.

THE APPROACH

What This Work Actually Looks Like

This isn't a worksheet-driven approach. It's not skills training, and it's not motivational.

We meet weekly — same time, same provider, no cancellation roulette. We don't just manage symptoms; we look at where they're coming from.

WE WORK ON

01. Reclaiming steadiness without suppressing what's real

02. Regulating anger instead of white-knuckling it

03. Rebuilding genuine connection — not just going through the motions

04. Untangling who you are outside of a rank and a mission

05. Understanding how your nervous system adapted to service — and how to recalibrate it now

This is deliberate, structured conversation. Not venting. Not coaching. Not motivational slogans.

VETERAN TO VETERAN

A Therapist who Speaks the Language

Most therapists who work with veterans learned about military culture from a textbook. I didn't.

I'm an Air Force veteran. I know what it's like to operate inside a structure that demands performance and doesn't reward vulnerability. I know the gap between what you said on the debrief and what actually happened. I know what it costs to keep carrying something you never had the space to put down.

What you will get is someone who already understands the culture — and who is trained to help you work through what brought you here. The work is direct, grounded, and built for someone who's done hard things before.

| You won't have to explain military culture

| You won't have to soften your language

| You won't be treated like you're fragile

|The work is direct, grounded, and respectful

Practical Details

Location: In-person, Orlando / Baldwin Park, virtual available through FL

Format: Individual therapy only

Approach: Psychodynamic, depth-oriented, depression counseling in Orlando

Payment: Private pay, $125/session (sliding scale may be available)

  • Veterans are my primary focus, but I also work with active duty, first responders, and men navigating high-pressure professional environments.

  • The main differences are availability, continuity, and approach. There's no waitlist, you'll see the same provider every week, and the work is psychodynamic rather than protocol-driven — meaning we go deeper than symptom management.

  • I'm a private-pay practice. I don't bill the VA or insurance directly. Many clients find this simplifies the process: no authorizations, no session limits, no records shared outside our work together. Sessions are $125

  • That depends on what you're working on. Some people do focused work over a few months; others find ongoing weekly sessions valuable for a year or more. I don't push a timeline on either end.

  • I'm based in Orlando, FL (Baldwin Park area) and offer both in-person and telehealth sessions for Florida residents.
